Furiosa : Mad Max Fury Road Prequel │ Everything We know So Far │ Cineflicks News
Furiosa, the most anticipated prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road has begun filming. After a long time, the cameras are rolling for this spin-off from the blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road. With filming officially underway, George Miller is back to direct and produce this action-packed prequel. The film sees Anya Taylor-Joy portraying a young Imperator Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in the previous instalment. The film seeks to explore the origin story of Furiosa in-depth and how she transformed into a badass captain who rebels against the tyrannical Immortan Joe in Fury Road. Alongside Anya Taylor Joy who is playing the titular character, Chris Hemsworth has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role. Chris Hemsworth took to Twitter to announce that the Furiosa prequel has begun filming. The best news is that the Oscar-winning crew from Fury Road is returning including production designer Colin Gibson, Editor Margaret Sixel who is Miller’s wife, and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt. Furiosa is slated for release in the summer of 2024. It seems, we have to wait almost two years but as you know, all good things take time.
