The Sandman : Release Date │ News Update │ Cineflicks News
The Sandman series is finally arriving on Netflix. Since its first publication 30 years ago, it’s the first time when this one of the best graphic novels is adapted into a live-action series. That’s why, Netflix and Warner Bros. are united to make it as great as possible. Based on a DC comic book of the same name, it follows its titular character Dream of the Endless, also known as Morpheus and the Sandman. After being held captive for 105 years, Morpheus escapes and sets out to restore order to his kingdom of the Dreaming. Starring Tom Sturridge in the titular character of Dream, a.k.a The Sandman, the show is created by David S. Goyer, Allan Heisenberg, and Neil Gaiman. The series was originally to begin filming towards the end of May 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic. In August 2021, Gaiman revealed on social media that the first season had wrapped filming. The series entered post-production on April 17, 2022, and it is set to premiere on August 5, 2022, on Netflix.
