The team captured scenes in Lincoln, Buckinghamshire, Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, and Boughton House in Kettering. Additionally, the production ventured to Malta, a beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea. In Malta, they utilized Fort Ricasoli, an actual fort that witnessed conflicts during Napoleon’s time. It will serve as the backdrop for the Siege of Toulon, adding authenticity and historical accuracy to the film. Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix takes on the titular role. Alongside him, we have Vanessa Kirby as Empress Joséphine. Tahar Rahim joins the cast as Paul Barras. Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Matthew Needham, and Youssef Kerkour are also cast in supporting roles. The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 22, 2023.
