Kraven the Hunter (2023) │ Everything We Know So Far │ Cineflicks News

The famous villain and one of Spider-Man’s strongest enemies, is getting his first movie this year. Kraven the Hunter just showed up in a really cool trailer. After watching it, some fans are curious about how the movie will be different from the comics, while others are just guessing about what might happen in it. The big question is: will this movie meet our expectations or will it be a letdown like Morbius? Moreover, who’s gonna show up in this film, and where it fits in Marvel’s current timeline? It’s difficult to say for sure right now, but stick around because we’ll find out in this video.
After staying a long time in development hell, Kraven the Hunter is finally appearing in a live-action film. This movie faced many problems since it was first announced in 2010. Director Sam Raimi had big plans for a fourth Spider-Man film. For that purpose, he wanted to bring forward this character we are talking about. Unfortunately, that project got scrapped, and instead, we got The Amazing Spider-Man reboot in 2012. Inspired by the MCU, Sony Pictures announced its plans to create a shared universe in 2013. Fast forward to 2015, Sony and Marvel shocked us with a ground breaking partnership. They joined forces to co-produce the film Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. However, Sony wanted to have their own shared universe called “Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.” It was meant to be an extension of the MCU Spider-Man films and it started with Venom in 2018. To achieve that, they announced to make of a Kraven film for this universe. So, after so much hustle and delays, the movie finally became a reality in 2021.
As for its cast, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as the titular character. Thanks to his exceptional acting skills in Bullet Train, the actor has successfully made a multiple-movie deal to portray this character. Alongside him, Ariana DeBose is appearing as Calypso. This character is the love interest of our hunter. She is a voodoo priestess who uses magic potions. Alessandro Nivola and Christopher Abbott have been cast as villains. Abbott is playing the main villain, the Foreigner. Kraven’s half-brother, the Chameleon, will be played by Fred Hechinger. Russell Crowe and Levi Miller have also been cast in supporting roles. Directed by J.C. Chandor, the script is written by Richard Wenk. Kraven the hunter is scheduled to hit theaters on October 6, 2023.
