Reacher Season 2 │ News Update │ Cineflicks News

Today we have some exciting news for all the Reacher fans out there. Prime Video has just announced that the hit action-drama series has officially wrapped up production on Season 2! The streamer took to Twitter to reveal this news. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this since filming began back in September last year. Based on the best-selling Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child, the series was an instant hit among fans upon its debut, so it’s no surprise that a second season was announced pretty quickly after that. In the clip posted by Prime Video, we can see actor Alan Ritchson in his Reacher costume with blood on his face, announcing the wrap of Season 2. He says, “I just came offset. Reacher Season 2, the last scene is done. As you can see, things got a little crazy. We promised things will be back bigger and better than ever. And we did not lie.” As you know, the first season of this hit action-drama series was based on the book Killing Floor. But the lead actor Alan Ritchson has teased that the second season will be based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the eleventh title in the book series. In the first season, we saw Ritchson as the former military policeman who used his skills to take down bad guys ranging from corrupt cops to greedy businessmen. But, in the second season, he’ll be back for revenge! Reacher will be investigating the deaths of his friends from his old military unit. Last December, Amazon Studios’ Head of Television, Vernon Sanders gave us a little sneak peek into what we can expect from the second season. Speaking to Collider, he said, “It’s going really well. Alan is back, and he is so fantastic in the role. I’m so proud of the producers [for] finding that fit for Reacher. The Reacher fans of the book, their reaction to the show have just been a dream. Season 2 is awesome. And as great as season one was, I think season two delivers beyond that, and I do think there’s a good chance that that show will be back next year.” Although the exact release date has not been officially announced yet, we have some clues. The official Reacher Instagram account confirmed that filming for Season 2 began in September 2022, and it’s expected to be released sometime during Spring 2023. We can’t wait to see what Season 2 has in store for us, especially considering how quickly the series was renewed for another season after its impressive debut and fan response. Just like the previous season, Reacher Season 2 will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video in all markets. This is fantastic news for fans of Lee Child’s books, especially those outside of the US, as they’ll be able to enjoy the series on one platform without needing a VPN or searching for alternative streaming services.
