The first trailer for The Flash movie 2023 is finally here! Get ready to join the Scarlet Speedster a.k.a Barry Allen on a journey through DC’s Multiverse. With Ezra Miller in the lead role as the titular hero, this film is set to be one of the final DC movies before James Gunn and Peter Safran made their mark on the DC Extended Universe. The trailer, which was released during the 57th Super Bowl event, gives us a sneak peek into Barry Allen’s next and possibly final adventure as The Flash. With his super-speed powers, Barry travels back in time to save his mother who was murdered when he was just a boy. However, as we know, time travel is a dangerous game and Barry ends up messing with the timeline. It would cause him to visit alternate dimensions where it becomes difficult to differentiate between friends and foes. Being the 13th installment in DCEU, this movie is based on the iconic Flashpoint comics, which completely changed the DC universe as we know it. And, as James and Peter recently revealed, The Flash will do the same for the DC Extended Universe. It will help DC Studios start fresh and only continue with the characters that fit into their “Gods and Monsters” storyline. James Gunn has praised this upcoming film, calling it an unforgettable cinematic event. He wants all DC fans to know that even though they are soft-rebooting the universe, this movie is still an important piece of superhero cinema and not to be missed. In 2014, Ezra Miller joined the DC Universe, and the same year a solo movie for The Flash was announced. Since then, Miller has made cameos as the Scarlet Speedster in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in Suicide Squad, and starred in 2017’s Justice League movie. However, a lot has changed since then, and The Flash movie is currently in development. On the other hand, directors Safran and Gunn working on a 10-year storyline that will unite films, TV series, and even video games in the new DCU. While nothing has been confirmed yet, the success of The Flash at the box office will probably determine if Miller remains part of the DCU or not. The movie is directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Bumblebee’s writer, Christina Hodson. The cast also includes Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Social media stars Rudy Mancuso and Saoirse-Monica Jackson are also involved in the project in undisclosed roles. Perhaps the best character who has been added to this film is Michael Keaton. He is appearing as Batman, Gotham’s caped crusader. This version of Wayne hails from an alternate universe while Michael is reprising his role from movies like Batman 1989 and Batman Returns 1992. The Flash movie is going to be an important film for DC because a lot of things are at stake. The Flash is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2023.
