Samaritan is a soon-to-be-released superhero action flick. The film is creating so much hype due to its lead star which is action icon, Sylvester Stallone. Yes, the man famous for his action-thriller roles, is finally playing a superhero for the first time. Samaritan is based on the Mythos comic book series of the same name and will follow the same storyline. Within its universe, the film follows an aged janitor, Joe Smith. But he isn’t all that he appears to be. In Fact, he is a superhero who is presumed dead some thirty years ago. But now, a new threat and a curious kid make him come out of his retirement and protect the city. Samaritan is full of gritty action and thrill which will definitely keep us on the edge of our seats. It is being helmed by Julius Avery, the creator of Son of a Gun (2014) and Overload (2017). Both these films are full of hardcore action, thrill, and suspense. So, you can imagine what Julius and Sylvester are bringing for us in Samaritan. Aside from Stallone, other cast members include Javon Walton, PilouAsbæk, Martin Starr, and Dascha Polanco in the supporting roles. Bragi F. Schut has written the script for it. Samaritan is set to release in theaters on August 26, 2022. But you can also watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
