The film follows these two friends who had feelings for each other in past. Later, they swap places with each as Peter takes care of Debbie’s son in Los Angeles, while Debbie starts to catch feelings for another man in New York. In the end, they seem to get together because it is a rom-com after all. Apart from Ashton and Reese, the film stars Wesley Kimmel, Steve Zahn, and Rachel Bloom. It is directed by award-winning writer and producer, Aline Brosh McKenna, in her directional debut. Aline has won several awards for her work in Devil Wears Parada 2006 and Cruella 2021.
