Babylon is an upcoming film by Damien Chazelle. After a long absence, the Oscar-winner director is back in town with his new period-drama film, Babylon. Damien has written and directed this movie and features some of the biggest names from the industry. In 2019, it was reported that Damien has set up a new project about the golden age of Hollywood. Shortly after that, Paramount Pictures acquired the rights and greenlit this project. But due to the pandemic, this film faced many delays in its production and almost got cancelled. Now, the filming has been wrapped up and the post-production is also completed. It has an ensemble cast that includes Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Samara Weaving, and Olivia Wilde. Toby Maguire is appearing in a supporting role while serving as an executive producer for it. Unfortunately, no official logline has been released but Cine Wizard has a glimpse of its storyline. Set in the late 1920s, it will be showing the industry’s transition from silent films to talkies. The rise and fall of fictional and historical characters in this transition are shown throughout the film. Margot Robbie is portraying the character of Clara Bow, an early beauty symbol and a box office star who is also known as the “It” girl. Brad Pitt would play a fictional character, a silent film star who fails to make the transition to the new technology. Sources say he is based on real-life figure John Gilbert.” Babylon is set to release this year on December 25, 2022.
