Although, there have been a lot of Sherlock Holmes films, Guy Ritchie changed the whole game with his two films. Sherlock Holmes 2009 and its sequel, \u201ca game of shadows 2011\u2019 take this character to new heights. Both these movies became blockbusters at the box office and won several awards. From the script to the action sequence and from the acting to the music score, both these films excelled in every aspect. That\u2019s why, it was natural to bring another chapter in this film series. Many claims were made by the cast members and Warner Bros. about a 3rd movie. But it was in 2019 when Dexter Fletcher took over from Guy Ritchie as the director of 3rd instalment. Shortly after that, the studio announced the release date which was December 22, 2021. Like many other projects, it was also delayed due to the pandemic situation in those days. But at the start of October 2022, Warner Bros. confirmed that Sherlock Holmes 3 is in development. While Dexter is leading this film as the director, Chris Brancato will be writing the plot. The script is being developed and no official release date has been announced. As for cast members, the bromance of Jude Law and Robert Downey will continue.  So, the game is afoot, and we suspect Sherlock Holmes 3 will be dropped somewhere in 2025.
