The Warrior Nun is returning in season 2 on Netflix. That’s a relief after season 1 ended with a major cliff hanger. Warrior Nun is a fantasy action show based on comic book series by Ben Dunn. The first season debuted in the back of 2020 and received a pretty good response from the audience. But despite receiving a favourable response, the future of Warrior Nun season was in much doubt until recently when we receive some exciting news. After so much secrecy, Netflix has finally released some information including the potential release date of Warrior Nun season 2. The show follows Ava Silva, a 19-year-old orphan who narrates this story. Her life changes when she wakes up in a morgue with an artefact embedded in her back. Due to this artefact and its powers, Ava is recruited into an ancient Order of warrior nuns who protect the earth from demons. The 2nd season will pick up the story left in 1st season. Now, it will explore all major plot threads of season 1. For example, the true identity of Adriel was revealed in the last episode. He is a demon who stole the artefact and created the first warrior nun. Thus, the whole Order of Cruciform Sword is developed on a lie. Moreover, the fate of Michael is still unknown who went through a portal. So, season 2 will show us how Ava and her fellow sisters will defeat Adriel and his army and the journey of each character. All main cast is returning for season 2. It means we will be watching Alba Baptista as Ava Silva, Toya Turner as Sister Mary, Thekla Reuten as Jillian Salvius, and Lorena Andrea as Sister Lilith. Warrior Nun season 2 is set to be released in the winter of 2022 on Netflix.
