Our beloved character “Berlin” from “The Money Heist” is returning in a new series. It’s a spin-off titled “Berlin” that will take us back in time and show us his life before he joined The Professor’s gang. The creators of “La Casa de Papel” are behind this show, so fans can expect the same thrilling and exciting experience as before. The series will see this charismatic con man in action once again. Today, we’re going to share all the details about this series with our viewers. So, let’s get started right away.
Money Heist is one of the best heist crime shows ever created. It has everything you can ask for. From thriller to action, and from romance to drama, you name it, and this series has it. Upon its release, the show took the world by storm. If you’ve been following this exciting crime show, then you know its hype and popularity. It’s about a criminal mastermind named “The Professor.” He gathers a group of skilled thieves for a big heist at the Royal Mint of Spain. People loved the show and all the craziness shown in it. It was so successful that it led to spin-offs, video games, and more. The original series ended in 2021 after five seasons, but fans wanted more, especially from one of the interesting characters. That’s why Netflix is making this new spin-off, expanding the story from the original series.
This time, the spotlight shines on one of the most beloved characters, Andres, a.k.a. Berlin. As we all know, he happens to be the older brother of “The Professor”. He battles a terminal illness, which we first discovered in the 1st season of the original show. In the subsequent parts, he makes a sacrifice to protect his gang from getting caught after the heist. It ultimately led him to his demise. However, we continue to see glimpses of him through flashbacks in later parts of the series. These flashbacks unveil more about his life prior to the heist at the Royal Mint. These flashbacks shed light on his involvement in planning the heist at the Bank of Spain. As we eagerly await the upcoming prequel series, we will have the chance to witness his life before his fateful encounter with the rest of the gang.
He has always believed that love and a million dollar can turn any bad day into a great one. With this mantra in mind, he sets his sights on a daring new heist — stealing $44 million worth of jewels. But he can’t do it alone. So, he recruits a group of skilled criminals to join him. We have Keila, a genius in cybersecurity; Damián, an academic and Berlin’s close friend; Cameron, a wild card who thrives on danger; Roi, a talented locksmith, and Berlin’s loyal sidekick; and Bruce, the expert in gadgets and weaponry. So, it seems this prequel would take us on a thrilling journey through his golden age, when he was roaming Europe and pulling off crazy heists. As for the cast, Pedro Alonso is coming back to reprise the titular role. Alongside him, we have Tristán Ulloa, Michelle Jenner, Joel Sanchez, and Begoña Vargas in the supporting roles. This crime-thriller show is expected to arrive in December 2023 on Netflix. For more news, subscribe to the Cineflicks News and hit the bell icon.
