“The Marvels’ have arrived with a new trailer. The hype has been building up bout this follow-up for quite some time, and at last, we saw the first glimpse of a new superhero team in the MCU. This new team in the Marvel family will be appearing for the first time on big screens. From the trailer, it looks like we can expect a lot of fun and adventure from the movie. Many fans are wondering about how the story of this sequel is going to unfold. After the last adventure of Carol Danvers in the 2019 film, Captain Marvel, fans were expecting a 2nd movie based on the character. Then we saw her again in Avengers and her cameo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In meantime, the studio released its first TV show Wanda Vision which introduced the character of “Monica Rambeau”. This new character was well-received by critics as well as the audience. Later, a new character, ‘Kamala Khan’ was introduced in a miniseries last year. As usual, it received critical acclaim and became very popular. Thanks to this show, we have this movie which is happening due to events of the show. According to the official trailer released by the studio reads, “Carol Danvers has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, and Carol’s estranged niece, Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe.” The movie will show how these three are related and how they solve this mystery together. Although Carol and Monica knew each other since the first movie, it’s not clear how they are related. The three heroes will work together to defeat the new bad guy in the movie. The trailer shows Monica Rambeau, teaming up with Nick Fury to explore cosmic anomalies at the S.A.B.E.R. Space Station. However, things take a turn when she switches places with Kamala while Carol ends up in Kamala’s room. It turns out that the powers of these three superheroes have become entangled, causing them to switch places whenever they use their abilities. To figure out what’s going on, Monica and Fury head over to Kamala’s house to meet her family and explain the situation. The trailer also shows the return of the Flerken cat, Goose, which will be a valuable asset in their fight against the new villain. This villain is Dar-Benn, a Kree warrior. We also get a glimpse of a mysterious character, who leads a group of warriors into battle. The rest of the trailer is just a visual feast, showcasing stunning planet landscapes, exciting action sequences, and even a musical number. However, as the team attempts to take down the powerful foe, they keep insisting that they’re not a team. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film features Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani in their respective roles. The film also stars Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn, and Park Seo-Joon as Yan D. The Marvels is scheduled to be released this year on November 10, 2023.
