Sherlock Holmes 3 │ News Update │ Cineflicks News

Today, we’re talking about Guy Ritchie and the highly anticipated film, Sherlock Holmes three. As you know, Guy Ritchie is known for his unique style and directorial approach to every project he’s a part of, and one of his most famous works is the Sherlock Holmes film series. The first movie was released in 2009 and the sequel followed in 2011. Both starred Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law as Dr. John Watson, and Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler. The movies were incredibly successful at the box office, with the first film earning $524 million worldwide and the second one surpassing that with a global income of $543.4 million. Given the series’ profitability, it only makes sense that a third installment would be in the works. And, in fact, the topic has been circulating for some time now. In a recent interview, Guy Ritchie was asked about the possibility of a third Sherlock Holmes film. When asked if another movie is still on the table, Ritchie didn’t give a clear answer. He revealed that he left the decision up to Robert Downey Jr., who wanted to be in charge of the project. He is waiting for Downey Jr. to take the lead and be in charge of the script and the entire project. Ritchie said that he has stepped back from the project for now and will only get involved when the time is right. It’s been over a decade since the last film, A Game of Shadows, was released, but the delay in production hasn’t been due to the lack of effort. Warner Bros. announced plans for a third film shortly after the release of the second in 2011. But there were multiple changes in writers, drafts, and concepts. Announced in 2019, Dexter Fletcher was expected to direct this film instead of Guy Ritchie, and the movie was slated for a 2020 release date. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic situation, production was put on hold indefinitely. As of now, it’s unclear when or if the movie will be made. However, Ritchie, the director of the first two films, has stated that he’s happy to help whenever production resumes. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for an eventual release of Sherlock Holmes 3! For more updates about your favorite movies and shows, subscribe to our channel The CineFlicks News.
