In the Season 9 finale of The Blacklist, we were given a glimpse of what Season 10 might have in store for us. It seems that the upcoming season will move away from Raymond Reddington’s quest for vengeance over the murder of Liz Keen. In the final episode, before taking his own life, Marvin Gerard was reunited with Wujing, who is known as number 84 on the blacklist. Wujing was serving a life sentence without parole. Before dying, Marvin revealed to Wujing that Red was the reason they were all locked up in prison. With the help of all the other criminals who were wronged by Red, Wujing managed to escape and decided that Raymond should be killed. The next season will focus on Wujing and the all other black listers pursuing Red and plotting to kill him. James Spader, a three-time Emmy winner, continues to lead The Blacklist show. He’s been part of some highly regarded shows like Boston Legal, The Practice, and The Office. He’s also appeared in movies like Lincoln and voiced Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Alongside him, season 10 sees the return of Diego Klattenhoffas as Agent Ressler, Hisham Tawfiq as Agent Denbe, and Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper, the assistant director of the FBI. Anya Banerjee has also joined the cast as Siya Malik, the daughter of assassinated agent Meera Malik from season 1. The die-hard fans of the show may recognize the name Malik and will be eager to see how Siya fits into the plot. Unfortunately, two beloved cast members, Amir Arison, and Laura Sohn won’t be returning for season 10. Arison, who played FBI Special Agent Aram Mojtabai since the first season, will be making his Broadway debut in The Kite Runner, which he couldn’t resist. On the other hand, Sohn, who played FBI agent Alina Park since season 6, is leaving to pursue other projects. The 10th and final season of Blacklist will premiere on Sunday, February 26, 2023, on NBC. The show will also be available on Peacock as well as Netflix after the premiere.
