He thinks the Evolutionary is just a grump who hates the way things are. Then we have a glimpse into Rocket’s past through some flashbacks. In these flashbacks, Rocket can be seen as a baby and he is being experimented on by the Evolutionary. But it’s not all sad because this film is going to introduce Lyla, a genetically enhanced otter who also happens to be Rocket’s love interest. As the trailer goes on, we see Star-Lord in action as he runs through a fiery disaster, while the rest of the Guardians leap onto an asteroid. Plus, Groot is back and standing alongside Quill as they prepare to take on Adam Warlock. There’s even a heart warming moment when Drax tells the team how grateful he is to fight alongside them. But you will need to grab some tissues because Quill gives a bittersweet speech about how the Guardians have become his family. It’s enough to make us all tear up. And then, in classic Quill style, he asks the question we’ve all been waiting for: “Are you ready for one last ride?” From the looks of the trailer, this ride is going to be out of this world.
