Scream 6 has finally got a release date for this year. After the success of its last part, the Scream franchise is heading into a new way or in this case, a new city. Scream 6 is a new addition to this ongoing horror saga. The requel Scream 5 revived the whole franchise in 2022. In that movie, a new Ghostface went on a killing spree to kill all those who have some connection with the original murders. In simple words, scream 5 introduced new characters who were supported by legacy characters. The film was a huge success and fans appreciated this new direction of the franchise. Now, scream 6 will be a direct sequel to this 2022 film. But like its predecessor, it will be a whole new experience for its fans. This time, the Ghostface won’t be hunting on Woodsboro grounds but in New York City. The 6th film in the franchise would pick up right after the last film. With the surviving Carpenter sisters Sam and Tara, and the Meek twins, the film will be focusing on these characters in a New York setting. When the survivors try to start fresh in the big city, their dreams are shattered when their past catches up with them. So, a new Ghostface, a new city, and a whole lot of slicing and dicing. The movie will be consisting of themes like the violence of the slasher genre with elements of “who done it” mystery. To enhance the thriller, fewer details will be used throughout the film. Scream 6 is directed by Matt Olpin who directed the previous part of it. The cast includes all four major characters from the last chapter along with some new faces. Malissa Barrera, Jena Ortega, Jasmin Brown, and Mason Wooding will be reprising their roles. Apart from them, Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere are also cast in supporting roles.
