The wheel of time is an epic fantasy TV series on Amazon Prime. Since the debut of its first season in 2021, the speculations about season 2 were already there. Thanks to the positive response from the audience, the series was renewed for a 2nd season. But when can we expect it? And what’s gonna happen in it? The CineFlicks News has made this video to bring an end to all these speculations. So, let’s dive into it. The Wheel continues to turn at Prime Video with the second season. Based on the books by Robert Jordan, it was developed by RafeJudkins. The season was announced even before the premiere of the first one. But being an expensive series, the positive feedback was crucial for further installments. Gladly, the first season was successful in making a huge fan base which paved the way for further chapters. The first season of the Wheel of Time is largely based on the first book. However, it also has some elements from the 2nd and 3rd books. If you remember correctly, the finale was full of twists and betrayals. The horn of Valere is taken by Padan Fain who is revealed to be a Darkfriend. On the other hand, Rand went on his journey to become the One Power who can destroy or save the world. Season 1 left us with many loose ends and questions which are still bothering us. Like what is going to happen with Moiraine who has lost her power. Similarly, we may also see how the love triangle between Moiraine, Lan, and Nynaeve is explored. At the end of the finale, the Seanchan fleet was shown arriving to conquer the continent. Seanchan army is going to play a crucial role in the upcoming season. All primary cast members are returning in the 2nd season. New cast includes Ceara Coveney, Natasha O’Keeffe, and Meera Syal in new roles. The filming was concluded in July 2022 and season 2 is still in post-production. It is going to have 8 episodes but these episodes will be longer as compared to season 1 episodes. No official release date has been given but we suspect, it will hit our screens at the start of 2023.
