The Oscar winner actress, Kate Winslet is appearing in a new miniseries, The Palace. It will be her 4th project with HBO. Before that, Kate played the titular role in Mare of Easttown (2021). For which, she won a Primetime Emmy Award. The actress will star in and will be serving as an executive producer for the miniseries. Critically acclaimed film and TV director, Stephen Frears, has been hired to direct this show. Stephan is credited for directing many successful films like The Queen (2006) and The Grifters (1990). He also wrote and directed many famous TV shows like Fail Safe (20000, A Very English Scandal (2019), and State of the Union (2109). The Palace is a period drama series starring Winslet in the lead role. The series centres around an authoritarian regime. Set inside the titular palace, audiences will watch as, over one year, the tyrannical rulers begin to lose their hold on the surrounding city. Will Tracy, the writer of Succession is also taped to write the script. Apart from Winslet, no further cast has been disclosed yet. The Palace is likely to hit screens in the winter of 2023 on HBO.
