Halo Season 2 : Everything We Know So Far… │ News Update │ Cineflicks News
Halo has been officially renewed for a second season by Paramount+. Thanks to the Halo game series which also happens to be its original source, the first season was quite a success. Despite facing some backlash from the fans of the Halo game franchise, this sci-fi military series managed to make its fan base with the 1st season. So, this news shouldn’t come as surprise because Paramount+ is going to cover the entire story of the Halo universe. That’s why, Halo season is officially green-lit and it is deemed to be even bigger than the first one. The finale of 1st season was dropped last month, and the speculations about the upcoming season are already arousing. The finale wrapped up its Makee subplot, with her death. The Spartans successfully recovered the Keystones intended to guide them to the Halo Ring, but in doing so, they all get wounded. To save Master Chief, Cortana was forced to take full control of his body and retrieved keystones. In that context, Halo season 2 will need to find a way to separate Cortana and the Master Chief, because he is the only one who can activate the Keystones after Makee’s death. Moreover, season 2 will follow Dr. Catherine Halsey who has escaped justice and is pursuing her own agenda. What she’s up to and how will she achieve it? It all will be explained in Halo season 2 which might also show us a few events from the second game, or the destruction of the first Halo weapon. Combining intense personal stories with action, adventure, and a vividly imagined future, the filming for the 2nd season is expected to start soon. Pablo Schreiber will reprise his role as Master Chief, the protagonist and main character of this show. Alongside him, Jen Taylor and Natascha McElhone will also return as Cortana and Dr. Catherine Halsey respectively. The other cast members are Bookeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Shabana Azmi as Margaret Parangosky, Natasha Culzac as Riz-028, and Olive Gray as Commander Miranda Keyes. Although no official announcement regarding its release date has been made yet, we concur it will be arriving in the first quarter of 2023 on Paramount+.
