The Sandman Netflix Series : What Can We Expect From It? │Cineflicks News

The Sandman series is finally arriving on Netflix. Since its first publication 30 years ago, it’s the first time when this one of the best graphic novels is adapted into a live-action series. That’s why, Netflix and Warner Bros. are united to make it as great as possible. Based on a DC comic book of the same name, The Sandman is written by Neil Gaiman who is also serving as one of its executive producers. For decades, this seminal comic was deemed un-filmable due to its unique plot and storyline. Speaking of storyline, let’s discuss what we can expect from this series. The Sandman follows its titular character Dream of the Endless, also known as Morpheus. Dream is one of a group of seven cosmic entities known as the Endless. Basically, they’re personifications of concepts and ideas which are essential for life. Dream’s six siblings are Death, Desire, Destiny, Despair, Delirium, and Destruction. Each of these entities rules over a different realm of existence. The series kick starts when Dream is captured in an occult ritual that was meant to capture his sister, the Death. His captivity caused unrest and it is mixing into the waking world. Now, he is free, He must set out to correct the wrongs that have occurred in the last century, including recapturing some horrors that have crossed the boundaries. The show is created by David S. Goyer, Allan Heisenberg, and Neil Gaiman. Consisting of 10 episodes, this superb series is set to premiere on August 5, 2022, on Netflix.
